Depressed Mood

1.Highlight the symptoms of the problem

Ans: Depression is low your Motivation. A person who is depressed usually experiences several of the following symptoms: feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or pessimism; lowered self-esteem and heightened self-depreciation; a decrease or loss of ability to take pleasure in ordinary activities; reduced energy and vitality; slowness of thought or action; loss of appetite; and disturbed sleep.

2. Identify and define the specific problem that can be explored or investigated.

Ans:  For example, depressive episodes resulting from work-related stress can impact vocational performance by ‘presentism’ (reduced work productivity while present at work) due to decreased concentration, reduced motivation, and decision errors, as well as ‘absenteeism’ (lost productivity from absence, e.g. non-attendant workdays, arriving late or leaving earlier than usual). Negative feedback from the organization, decreased self-esteem, and reduced salary may follow and add on the stress level of depressed workers. If these impacts persist or get worse, more serious mental health outcomes, such as chronic disability and suicide attempt, as well as vocational consequences including repeated job loss can happen. Unemployment and job loss have been consistently reported to elevate the risk for depression to raise the risk for depression and suicide attempt, especially in young workers

3. Trace the important situational factors

Ans: Situational depression involves symptoms of depression that are related to stress. It is not a recognized clinical disorder but is an informal term used to describe what may be more formally diagnosed as a type of adjustment disorder.

These feelings of depression are usually triggered by a traumatic event, sudden stress, or major life change. Triggers can include events like a serious accident, divorce, job loss, or death of a loved one.

4. Write a research question as emerging out of the problem statement

. Depression affects not only the life of the person who suffers from the disorder, but also the lives of family and friends and depression ultimately affects society as a whole. It is estimated that people with depression cost the economy 30 to 44 billion dollars per year. The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of anxiety and depression among physical therapy and fitness level of employee because it’s too matter on any successful organization that’s top organization before hiring employee take a physical and medical test.

5. Write a research objective in alignment with the research question

Ans: This study found that depression symptoms are related to work absences and impaired work performance, and results partly confirmed that work stressors add to this impact. Results suggest that workers with depression may benefit from care involving medical and vocational interventions.
